Va a concludersi l’anno
sociale dell’Associazione L’Aquilone Onlus.
Ferraina e Luigi Grande - Diamante Antonella, Cantina Mauro e Stefano Takacs
nuotatori è stata fatta dai presidenti: Luigi Palmisano e Rosario Lo Faro,
rispettivamente della sezione messinese della “Lega Navale Italiana” e
dell’Associazione “L’Aquilone” Onlus.
solidali.
The projects of the
L'Aquilone association in 2017
The end of the social
year of the association L'Aquilone Onlus ends. The 2017 has confirmed the
design that for over a decade has highlighted the constant commitment of the
disabled and needy children. The project of sea therapy 'A Sea to Live ...
without Barriers' has been enriched this year by the 'Marinai per un
giorno' activity thanks to the perfect synergy with the Caronte and
Tourist Company of Messina have spent an interesting and carefree day aboard a
ship in the Straits of Messina.
The highlight of the
season, the 2nd edition of 'Tancrede Swim Challenge ... the challenge of a
day the challenge for life' in 2016 Tancrede Brittannicus Roy, 11, came
from the US to cross the Strait of Messina. The young man, assisted by his team
and legendary Giovanni Fiannacca, dropped in the mythical waters of the Strait
accompanied by his mother Isabelle, by his father Stephen and by the trainer
Gary Emich, and completed in an hour and ten the special Beneficial Cross.
On Wednesday, July 19,
2017, a sunny summer day made the 'Tancrede Swim Challenge ... the
challenge of a day the challenge for life'. The participants at the
intersection were: - Patrizio Tomata (USA); - Matilde Eleonora Rotella, Antonio
Ferraina and Luigi Grande, - Diamante Antonella, Cantina Mauro and Stefano
Takacs of Lazio, the youngest Boscarino Francesca from neighboring Catania and
many other sea-lovers.
All swimmers were able to
safely complete the crossing as per the program. In the garden of the
'Naval League' was held the ceremony of the delivery of the medal
remembrance combined with the shirt. Delivery of souvenirs to the swimmers was
made by the presidents: Luigi Palmisano and Rosario Lo Faro, respectively of
the Mexican section of the 'Italian Naval League' and of the
'L'Aquilone' Onlus Association.
The event has been very
successful in attendance and charity contributions. The Roy family was informed
of the success of the event and despite its absence in the crossing of the
second edition dedicated to them, it felt, however, that it participated in
'distance' by confirming its support for these solidarity
initiatives.
The third edition of
'Tancrede Swim Challenge ... the challenge of a day the challenge for
life' is already in the planning phase, with the wish that in 2018 the Roy
family is present for an international event, expected in the city of Messina .
Thanks to the charity of
the Roy family, the project 'Ortofruttando' has realized the wishes of
the little ones accompanied by their family and teachers, in a cozy space with
guided tours and creative workshops. In our garden, designed as a journey in
stages, he teaches the cultivation of vegetables, following the transformation
from seed to fruit and observing the various steps and stages, as well as
nature teaches us, following his perfect rhythm and the cycle of the seasons .
