I nuotatori della “Water World Swim” attraverseranno lo Stretto per beneficenza

Ecco, di nuovo alla
ribalta lo Stretto sul quale si rispecchia la magnifica ed accogliente Città di
Messina. I richiami mitologici di queste acque, con le storie di Scilla e
Cariddi e della Fata Morgana, attirano, sempre più spesso, nuotatori di vari Paesi
e continenti per accingersi a fare la traversata a nuoto del tratto di mare che
separa la spiaggia di Capo Peloro a quella di Cannitello, nella sponda calabra.
Impegnati in quest’Impresa, che ormai ha raggiunto un carattere internazionale,
alle 08.30 di sabato 27 agosto, sei nuotatori, provenienti da varie parti del mondo che, affronteranno il piacere di
immergersi nelle acque, dove s’incontrano i mari dello Ionio e del Tirreno. La Traversata è stata organizzata dal “Professional Coach
Ale” e dall’“International Events”, manager Patrizio Tomada, rappresentanti di
“Water World Swim”, un gruppo statunitense con base a San Francisco
(California) che propone traversate a nuoto in vari Paesi del mondo, tra i
quali: Grecia, Italia, Cuba, Cile, Argentina, la Manica, Alcatraz.
La
Traversata dello Stretto si avvale dell’assistenza tecnica dell’esperto e
decano di questi Eventi “Seaman” Giovanni Finacca col suo Colapesce I. Il tutto
non ha solo uno scopo ludico, ma avverrà nel nome dell’Associazione
“L’Aquilone” Onlus che, attraverso l’impegno del presidente Rosario Lo Faro (nella foto) e dei suoi associati, da
anni s’impegna su un Progetto di “Mareterapia” denomiato “Un mare da vivere
senza barriere”, atto a sostenere i soggetti diversamente abili. In questo
contesto, la “Water World Swim”, attraverso la donazione a “L’Aquilone”, ha
voluto contribuire ai Programmi di quest’ultima ed unire i nuotatori dei vari
Paesi nell’esperienza della “Traversata dello Stretto di Messina” con
l’auspicio che “Un mare da vivere senza barriere” diventi un messaggio
internazionale, “a sea to live without barriers an ocean to experience without
borders”. Un messaggio che unisca le genti, in quanto il mare non pone ostacoli
e barriere, per raggiungere gli scopi benefici e di aiuto a favore di persone
svantaggiate.
The swimmers of the ' Water World Swim' will cross the Strait for charity
Here, again under the
spotlight on the Straits which reflects the magnificent and welcoming city of
Messina. The mythological references of these waters, with the stories of
Scylla and Charybdis, and the Fata Morgana, attracting more and more often,
swimmers from different countries and continents and set about doing the swim
across the stretch of sea that separates the beach of Capo Peloro that of
Cannitello, in the Calabrian shore. Engaged in this enterprise, which has now
reached an international character, at 08.30 on Saturday 27 August, six
swimmers, from various parts of the world, will face the pleasure to dive into
the water, where they meet the Ionian seas and Tirreno. The Crossing was
organized by the 'Professional Coach Ale' and the ' 'International
Events', manager Patrick Tomada, representatives of 'Water World
Swim', a US-based group in San Francisco (California) which offers
swimming crossings in several countries the world, including Greece, Italy,
Cuba, Chile, Argentina, the English Channel, Alcatraz.
The crossing of the
Strait employs expert technical assistance and dean of these events
'Seaman' John Finacca with his Colapesce I. All this has not only a
recreational purposes, but will be in the name of the Association 'The
Kite' Onlus that, through the efforts of President Rosario Lo Faro
(pictured) and his associates, for years committed to a project of
'Mareterapia' renamed as 'a sea to live without barriers',
act to support persons with disabilities. In this context, the 'Water
World Swim', by donating to 'The Kite,' wanted to contribute to
the latter programs and join the swimmers of various countries in the
experience of 'Crossing the Strait of Messina' with 'I hope that
'a sea to live without barriers' become an international message,
'at sea to live without barriers to experience an ocean without
borders'. A message that unites the nations, as the sea does not put
obstacles and barriers, to achieve the charitable purposes and help to
disadvantaged people.
